Lockdown 2.0: Here's What We Learned Last Time!

Lockdown 2.0: Here's What We Learned Last Time!
Read time: 1 minute and 17 seconds
Are you feeling overwhelmed and uncertain as we enter Lockdown 2.0 in the UK?

It's a little hard to figure out if you should keep calm and carry on or join the crowds and start buying ALL the pasta. AGAIN!

Let’s not even mention the banana bread fiasco!

I don’t have all the answers, I’m not sure anyone does, and it’s easy to feel like you’re going this alone.

But I want you to know I’m here and I’m weathering this storm with you.

And let’s face it, we’ve done this once this year already, we CAN get through it again.

I’ve been chatting to small business owners and authors, and here are the top takeaways I hope will help you navigate lockdown the second time around:
  • You can and should continue marketing and selling! Now is not the time to let your channels go cold. In fact, with more people online than ever before, it’s time to kick things up a notch!

  • Reach out to your audience and customers, see how they're doing and if there's anything you can do to help them. Even a quick chat can make all the difference to someone’s day. You might even get some work out of it.

  • Use any extra time you have to prepare your business for future uncertainty. Is it time to make that switch to online selling or launch that new course or book you've been working on?

  • Look after yourself! Check-in with yourself, reach out to your support network (family, friends, colleagues) and don't overdo it. During the first lockdown we all had grand plans of what we could get done in that time, and I know for me at least, I didn’t do as much as I’d hoped. And that’s fine. Take it one day at a time.

Now tell me, how are you feeling as we deal with another national lockdown?

Let me know how you're doing in the comments.

Kayleigh is quite simply one of the most efficient VAs I have ever worked with. Whatever I ask for is delivered without fuss, with appropriate reminders, and often with a good suggestion proffed too. She has brought clarity and consistency to some complex newsletter and events tasks I had been struggling with. She works very effectively with others too. I have reason to be grateful to Kayleigh every week and so happy she is part of our team.
